John A. Martin III, 75, passed peacefully on Friday, August 23, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. He was a life-long resident of Johnston.
He was the son of the late Margaret and John Martin, Jr.
John is survived by his devoted wife Ellen. Devoted father of John (Patti) and Michelle, grandson John (Shayna), great-grandson Naesen, sister Kathy Creamer (Michael Siebert) and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his best “buddies” Ronnie & Joyce Arpin.
His first cousins Charottle Beacher, Elaine Ford and John Fernandes stayed by his side as he was passing.
John was a Navy Veteran who served aboard nuclear submarines US Greenland and The Henry L. Stimson for four years. John retired from Electric Boat after 36 years.
John enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, traveling, camping and watching a good movie. He will be sadly missed.
